THIS ^^^^^^
I got rushed to the hospital a few years ago after passing out. I had been eating Ibuprophen and Naproxen (BOTH NSAIDs) like candy due to several herniated discs in my spine. Doctor told me another 6-8 hours and I'd have been done.
Needed four pints of blood transfused....I asked for grade A scientists/doctors/genius donors.....Instead I think I got Larry, Moe, and Curly.....
taxihacker66, PeteyFixAll and Straight Stacks Thank this. -
All that I have had pulled, lifetime total of four, well it was such a relief compared to the pain before pulling that I was happy to be rid of them.
Two of them had HUGE roots and doc earned them ########, snap pull, snap pull, snap pull and repeat. My neck was sore from trying to hold my head still.
Best advice is frozen vegetables, corn, peas etc, and fill a couple surgical gloves with water and freeze in a jaw holding position!! honest best icepack ever. keep it iced for the first day you'll be fine. -
That deserves repeating!!!!
A quick story:
His name was Dale AKA "WhatFish", he was my friend and fishing buddy. He ate Tylenol like candy, when the ulcers came his solution was to take Alka Seltzer (a blood thinner) When I found him his bathroom sink and toilet were full of dried blood from vomiting. When I got him to the emergency room his hemoglobin was 2.4, The ER Dr told me it was the lowest he had ever seen in a live person. 9 Units of blood, and 2 fresh/frozen later he survived. He never took Tylenol again but died of liver failure about a month later. NSAIDs are not to be abused! It was a horrible painful disgusting way to die.
RIP WHATFISH!

Why don't you just get really drunk and have a buddy pull it with some multy pliers? It would be better then dealing with it for a month.
-
Yep... once the tooth is gone , the pain is greatly reduced. You're good to go.
-
Just had a tooth pulled, you really don't need any painkillers after. Aleve would be fine, just keep the gauze on it and let the clot form.
-
If you're in Alabama/Arkansas sure! But not the rest of the civilized world!

Honestly I've had 2 major extractions absessed and all. You won't need the narcotics. 2 days rest and an acme mallet for the night of the extraction. You will feel better once it's out and it starts healing. But take some home anyways just in case. And if it gets too bad well better to have it and not need it while you take a couple of extra days if ya do.
