There is still hope out there. The other day at a flying j . There was a flatbed fueling finished fueling took at least 5 minutes to move up, given I was in no hurry gave him a little more patience than he deserved. Moved up i finished fueling guy was still there i couldnt move up making me look like an inconsiderate driver as well , went inside to get receipt came back he was still there . It amazes me the amount of patience you need with these inconsiderate fools. I guess they need a nice ### whooping to learn .

I don't know the area that you generally stop at but most of the mom and pops around my area are very clean however they may be a little outdated, but they are generally clean and sanitary

I use Loves 99% of the time. I use the one in Midlothian a couple of times a month. I hate going there cause I need to scale but then there is no where to park. It's regularly full. I agree, it crazy there.

I'll go further to say that I have found, as a general rule, Loves doesn't put up with a driver leaving a truck parked in or in front of, the fuel island. I've seen several loves employees & managers approach drivers who leave thier truck in the way of the fuel island.

Not long ago, I pulled into Loves in Minden, La (I-20 exit 49) & every island was full with another truck waiting.... except for one island. The reason? There was a truck pulled in going the wrong way! Not to be outdone, I pulled in, going the correct way, in front of him. I waited, & in about 10 minutes, the guy came out with his Arby's bag & approached my right front headlight & looked at me like I was crazy. Then walked on to his truck & in a mean, furious demeanor, motioned for ME to back out so he could go. I motioned for him to back out & stood my ground. Of course, he gave me the finger shouting & ranting while I calmly sat in my truck with the parking brake pulled. After he ranted & cursed for a couple of minutes, he thought, hummm.... I'll set here & eat until this guy decided to back out & I can go. So, he got his sandwich & started eating & just smiled like he had me beat. I have a Loves app on my phone, so I got out my phone, chose "stores near me" & of course that store came up along with the contact info. I called the store & asked if a manager could come out & talk to a guy sitting in truck, in the fuel island, going the wrong direction, eating. I'd bet it was less than a minute & the manager came out, walked up to the truck & immediately the guy started pointing at me ranting that I wouldn't back out. The manager asked him twice to move & didn't discuss any options. After asking twice, the manager calmly got out his cell phone & started dialing numbers. Quickly, very quickly, the driver put his sandwich down & backed out.
I have seen situations like this a couple of times at Loves & from what I have seen in the past, Love's apparently dont put up with this.

Those morons are everywhere. Pilot in new Albany, ms. This one locked his truck and waddled in with his shower bag. I was staged in the lane the pumpkin is in ( he came in behind me ), pulled up and fueled, pulled up and went inside, and as I was leaving going on 30 minutes later he still hadn't come out.

    You just can't fix stupid.

I take my 30 at the islands if it's not busy. I always feel like a jack ### doing it but I pull doubles so parking is a little more tricky.

Though some guys go overboard on the "move your truck" attitude, like the guy who got in my face at the Love's in El Paso that I needed to move my truck while I was still fueling. He even went in and had me paged. I got in his face at the fuel desk and he called me a fat ### to which I pointed at his ample gut and said "Look who's talking!"

Because the gov't pays them by the pound to move their stuff when they get transferred. At least that's what a military guy told me when he was scaling near Fort Drum. "I take the heavy stuff and the moving truck gets the light stuff" he said.
