Can anyone tell me what the physical requirements during orientation are for Knight Refrigerated? What
about the job itself? I understand they do a lot of stuff going/coming to/from the west coast.
I want to pull reefer and go west with an outfit that's big enough to offer good health insurance at a reasonable price/wk. Not sure I could pass a bunch of lifting or dexterity assessments though.
What exactly are physical requirements for Knight Refrigerated

If you can pass a physical you will be fine. As for the going coast to coast, If you live in the east or mid east its somewhat easy to go to the west then come back. Just how the loads are, in the west we normally have alot more loads going back that way then vice vs.

I have worked for them for years with little to no issues, just because you quit and came back 3 times says alot in its own. Why I do agree people have bad experiences and or a bad terminal that does not mean the next persons experience will be the same. Frankly I wonder how many of these bad experiences are the drivers them selfs own doing, Problem is all you ever here is one side of the story.White_Knuckle_Newbie, Fla918 and dragginmaster Thank this. -
You reap what you sow.
Though I do believe some of the office people out there thrive on their power trips. An attitude which I am sure is nurtured in no small parts by a-hole drivers that think they are gods gift to the industry. -
Knight Refrigerated is a good place to start. Just know when you hire on that your not staying. Been here a year next month. The only reason I'm still here is because of my dispatcher and terminal manager. Not a bad place to start or rekindle a love of trucking. If I do leave Knight I'll be going to Kool Trans. Yea, I know the story but the reefer side is stuck at the same pay scale as the dry side and the only way to get more money? Leave.
