Are the administrators of DOT Physicals able to read our respiratory SD cards? Or do we have to find some place to get the SD card printed out? Coming up due for my 1st renewal with S/A. I got my machine through the VA.

Bring the read out with you. Take your card to your sleep care provider and have them do it. Do not wait to the last minute. DOT physician centers are NOT sleep specialist!
White_Knuckle_Newbie and xlsdraw Thank this. -
Take your sd card to the va or a local durable medical equipment, dme, for them to print it out. They have the special equipment to read the sad card. You will need the last 6 months......some want 12 months. My dme could only print the last 6 months.xlsdraw Thanks this.

Luckily the last one I had was at a clinic that was next door to a sleep clinic. I not only got the printout free, I got three masks and two inserts free also.

Hey. The DME company that I went to, tested me out of my home and then sold me a unit that used a MODEM for compliance. I did not need to take a card into a clinic. My DME had all my sleep history remotely. It was pretty convenient. No time off for doctor appointments. At the end of the year, my DME company will be able to show all of my sleep history for compliance so I can keep my job. Having Sleep Apnea is not fun and it can be a game changer. But having my CPAP machine has changed my life. I sleep great and I have lost weight. The company that I used is Alltrans Medical. If you are also facing this situation, call them or check them out on the web at alltransmedical.com. Good luck and happy sleeping. Save driving too.
xlsdraw Thanks this. -
I searched the web and purchased the software needed to download all info off of my Resmed S9 unit.
I print out my compliance data for the past year when I go for my annual visit with my Pulmonologist and he provides a letter to take to my DOT physical. -
Mine is too old to be read lol.

The good part about my situation, is I don't have to take my report to the doctor. The company that I got my CPap from is a Resmed licensed dealer. Because of the modem, Alltrans provided the report directly to my doctor. This was nice because I did not need to take time off, so I can "keep on truckin".
