Interstate distributing gets my vote at this time if you live out west. They train, no driver camera I know of newer trucks dry and refer freight. Best part is almost secret they let drivers decide how long home time is and give you right of refusal on loads. So you more or less run as a owner/lease driver. They do not advertise this it's a courtesy. Not sure how far it can be pushed before they give your truck to someone else. The trucks have refrigerators and inverters , no apu.
TigerShark Thanks this. -
He's not the last word. There have been many AG opinions overturned by smarter people all over the country

SEWARD called me back, need more info on them if anyone has any.
Melton won't leave me alone have called over 7 times. Flat bed gets slow in winter and their training is extensively long.
Earl Henderson..I need more info if anyone has any.
John Christner more info once again...
Trans Am pays too low and adds perdiem.
Stevens has cameras.
Grand Island Express sounds terrible.
What's the word on Watkins, or Interstate....I'm getting narrowed in....
Don't wanna be a pain in the ### but also don't wanna show up to an orientation to a surprise and hate life for 6 months..... -
First and foremost, good people. Equipment could be better. No games with pay. Ladies on the second floor (payroll and other admin) are nice and helpful. Most of the drivers I met were pretty decent folks.
Dispatch. Not bad people (really). But sometimes it might be hard to see that. They had no problem running me.
Had me on a triangle that ran me out of hours hitting the same dispatcher over and over. One time he asked me why I was always out of hours. I said look to your left, look to your right. (Dispatch is all in one room) LOL.
It is definitely not a one-size fits all company. But it does fit a wide variety of individuals. So it may be for you, or it might not. Certainly didn't see or hear about anything even remotely approaching the horror stories of some other companies.
Good luck.TigerShark Thanks this. -
