Wonder how long before Werner. Schneider and others will have driver facing cameras? I don't know how you guys and gals are surviving truck driving today. My hats off to you'll

That's why I'm so glad I run with a better than average company that doesn't train and takes forever to hire only good drivers. Our scores and lack of accidents/incidents bears that out.

They'll hook us up with a forward facing dash cam for our own protection through payroll deduction but we won't be seeing driver facing cams unless it's a blanket mandate.

If it comes to that I'll just hang up the keys and retire. My record speaks for itself. I don't need a babysitter watching every move I make.

I really feel for these drivers starting out new, with all the stress they deal with then having a camera recording you is insane. If I was starting out again I would go with a company that doesn't have cameras facing you. I would just have to bite the bullet for a year, then move on.

As a noon, let me weigh in. I'm an entry level driver responsible for 80k lbs of stuff going up to 70mph. I'm trusted with tens of thousands of dollars or more of other people's stuff - possibly irreplaceable. If I screw up, not only do I risk the cargo and equipment, there if the legal liability and the litigation. Put all that on a brick and mortar business and you bet you find cameras supervising the employees. It's the way of the world.

But, I'm with you... Chose to start with a no nanny cam company.

I would just be more conscious of the nose picking situation.

I'd have my middle finger in front of the camera all day

Everything in the truck can be replaced. Even yourself. Just saying.
