Do you need a permit to pull a trailer with super single tires? The Alberta Ministry of Transportation website says you do but it's dated 2013. Thanks for any info.

In some (possibly all) provinces you can only run US weights on super singles as well. I guess if the fuel savings are there, it'd be worth it, but if you require a permit to run LESS weight it might not be the best option.

    Pullin2 and kranky1 Thank this.

We have super singles on the super bs I pull and the 5 legger straight trailers too. In Ontario, anyways; we're allowed max weights still. Can't wrap my head around the requirement for a permit though? Hate them stupid tires..

Last time I checked right before I threw my SS in the ditch, it was $15 for the annual AB permit, and you could only be up to 15300 Kg's on a tandem
