I was wondering if California freight is steady, all year round.
I have a place to stay,near LA?
Any good trucking companies hiring to run local routes around LA?

Of course, lots of freight out of northern and southern cali. All year round. Lots and lots of local jobs around LA, but traffic is a nightmare.
Wiley.Coyote Thanks this. -
The post above mine sums it up.
Add in extra costs for DOT tickets, and "upgrading" your truck so the hippies can breathe. Oh, and don't leave your truck for more than an hour or some hooligans will steal itbottomdumpin, Wiley.Coyote and rachi Thank this. -
New trucks attract dot?
Im clean cut,and my truck is neat and orderly.
I pretty much, live in the truck, love to drive, especially where the weather is mild, and freight is steady.
I dont cheat the log book either, just looking for honest pay and respect.
Thanks guys. -
Cali isn't bad. And DOT is no worse then any place else. Freight is a little better then AZ.
Wiley.Coyote Thanks this. -
If your truck doesn't have a CARB sticker, you can't idle.
If your APU doesn't have a CARB sticker, you can't use it.
If your reefer doesn't have a CARB number, you can't use it.
If your 53' trailer doesn't have skirts, you can't use it.NWAF, thejackal, rachi and 1 other person Thank this. -
Wow,didnt know that,Thanks
-
Never seen flat beds with skirts..maybe Im blind?
-
Seen some on Prime flatbeds.

Seems to me skirts on flatbed, would be worthless.
Impossible to predict airflow,over and under,a changing,open,trailer.
