Well, how do I say this delicately.....Hmmm.
I do everything within my power to NOT go any place where I am stripped of my God-given right to defend myself. If for some totally unforeseen and unavoidable reason I absolutely have to enter such an area, well......I'll just let your imagination fill in the rest. Wouldn't want to break forum rules, and/or incriminate myself.
Gotta love the 2nd and 5th Amendments! (meh, I s'pose the others ain't all that bad either....lol)
What do you do with your firearm?

I'm forced dispatch so if they say go here then I go.

Don't count on checking the gun with gate guard. Have had that work once, been denied all other times. Not they're responsibility to hold our pieces. I have left the wife at a truck stop holding a 45. She is licensed concealed carry of course. Im sad to say I just gave up on carrying if Im out here bouncing around.

A friend of mine had stops at Hill AFB a couple times while he was carrying. The first time he told the guards and asked them to hold it. They said they couldn't so he had to leave and find a place to store(hide) the weapon off base. The second time he actually hid it up in the reefer engine compartment. Apparently the dogs couldn't smell the gunpowder and he rolled on through. I wouldn't want to get caught trying to sneak a weapon onto a military base though. Losing your job would be the least of your worries at that point...

Yep I wouldn't want to sneak it in. I'm pretty sure bomb sniffing dogs are trained for gun powder as well but I could be mistaken.
-
Drop the gun down a storm drain. I saw it in a movie once. I carry concealed and I would never risk losing that ability for trying to sneak it in. That is one rule I will never break. I thought about this long ago and called a gun dealer and they said they would hold it for me but its not worth the hassle. So I remain an unarmed defenseless victim like the liberals want everyone to be.Last edited: Nov 17, 2015
GenericUserName and Chewy352 Thank this. -
The only time it's been an issue is at a nuclear research facility. Guard offered to hold it without me even asking. Gave it right back no big deal.Mudguppy Thanks this.

Ignorant comments are a major part of the problems we face in this country. Nobody wants anybody to be 'defenseless victims' but rather have and enforce common sense gun legislation.
-
That would depend on what one sees as common sense!GenericUserName, 66truck and Chewy352 Thank this.

What's this? No one chiming in saying "it illegal to have a firearm in a commercial truck", before anyone says anything, I already know the correct answer to that
