So after being told I would receive 18 cents off the cash price which is better than I get with fleetone I decided to give them a shot. Apparently I pay the cash price and receive the discount in the form of rebates. Well I guess they thought I wouldn't notice when they invoice me for more than I paid for the cash price?
Took forever to get out of them wtf the other charges were for(transaction fees and something else) since they refuse to list it on the invoice. I paid them what I paid for the cash price and told them thats all they're getting out of me and cut up the card. What a joke of a company and a waste of my time.
Anyone else had this experience? Or if you aren't checking them its time to.
Anyone else getting ripped off by comdata?

Not for me, but the app says fuel price and sometimes I pay less than what it says.

Same lesson learned by everyone, fees negate any possible discount, just try to pay cash, and use common apps,to find the cheapest price.
Lots of times, the cheapest fuel,is at small independant, truck stops. -
Fleetone gives you 5-8 cents off the cash price and you pay at the end of the month. I will agree on finding mom and pops though. Sometimes save big theregw12s Thanks this. -
Fleetone with NASTC price plus discounts applied almost instantly. Still gotta have funds available to pay cash price then credits to account almost instantly.

I don't know how you get on their card but Pilot cost plus fuel card is good for us. I paid $1.87 a gallon in Blacksburg, SC Monday and $1.93 a gallon yesterday in Cleveland, TN. The savings vary but I think those were at least 20 cents below cash price. Sometimes it's more, sometimes less. I use an app called fuel book to find the cheapest fuel along my route that is coded specifically to our company tied in with the fuel card. No swipe fees, no fees at all.

NASTC is TA/Petro/Sapp Bros and a bunch of independents.
Blacksburg, SC $1.872
Cleveland TN $1.9058

Those aren't bad prices for small fleets or single o/o's, the mega I run with only gets about 10-15 cents less per gallon at those locations.

Or is that what they are giving you ? The little mega im with has some locations giving us 60 cents off the cash price. It all depends. -
Are you sure about that? It's common practice at some mega carriers to not pass on the entire fuel discount to their lp and oo guys. I'm at Mercer, we have about 2k trucks leased on over here, and my discount is some how bigger than some of the big box companies with many more trucks. more trucks means more buying power, so doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that some companies are charging their guys more for fuel than they are actually paying.
