be careful with firearms in truck. i heard a rumor some scales have started using some kind of x ray device as you pass through the weigh station. not sure how true it is. especially since i heard it from another trucker

They scan trailers, not trucks. US and Canadia do it at the border. Florida does it at the bug stations, never heard of anything else
