Good question...I saw he was a light load member and assumed he meant posts.Pork Chop Express Thanks this.

Exact situation I described w/my student when I first found out about our unannounced update.
I'll call your hand & raise you one. Not your system, but Qualcom nonetheless.
This morning in Jersey, after being shut down all night, I switched status to on duty for my pretrip. Let it go 10min to be on safe side to make sure it stuck. Mind you, truck has been stationary all night w/breaks set. Took nearly 15min after that to crawl out of truck stop allowing a guy to back into spot, and log jam of idiots blocking exit from fuel island & truck stop.
Within a mile or so of getting out, it rolled back entire driveline to STARTof on duty. No on duty shown at all. Changed all that STATIONARY time to driveline. Lost 1/2hr before even getting out of truck stop! Log dept was no help at all, as they said QC showed me traveling from point A to B. QC must have problem & should be checked. Later, I looked at my performance parameters & sure as tootin', it showed the 10min of IDLE time from when I placed on duty while warming up & pretripping.
I believe there may be some issues with the update itself, as I have never had any issues before the #### update.
My day was going to require my full hours to get where I needed to be, running the speed I would normally run for fuel efficiency. Guess how long it was going to leave me short? Yep, that freakin' 1/2hr. Had to run much faster at efficiency loss just to make that time up to get where I needed to be, otherwise my trip would have run into an extra day, just because of that 1/2hr.
Ahhhhh....I feel better now. Venting done!
91B20H8, redoctober83, Pork Chop Express and 2 others Thank this. -
Sometimes you just gotta vent
FullMetalJacket, 91B20H8 and Vilhiem Thank this. -
@FullMetalJacket
It's called venting for a good reason.
FullMetalJacket and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
Unfortunately, my experiment didn't go quite as planned...
"Refreshing" your duty status (hit change, and then okay) doesn't seem to work.
My thought is that you have to have a good 10 minutes between times when your wheels are moving. Or just turn the tractor off for that amount of time.Pork Chop Express Thanks this. -
Humm, Still no changes to my qualcomm at Knight, maybe a SNI update ? Kind of odd it seems to be happening to everyone else but mine is still acting the same.
Vilhiem Thanks this. -
It's possible that the update just has not yet been rolled out for you. According to what others have said, not everyone got the upgrade at the same time.
You may not get yours for another week, or even maybe it will be next week. Just know that it is probably going to happen for you, and just be careful how you roll. -
/shrug.
we may not even get the update. Knight has everything locked out with qualcomm. Hell we dont even get Jill updates and when they changed the 34 back to normal it took Knight 4 months to roll that log update out and even then they had to use a USB stick to update it.
Lol we be old school. :0
Edit.
Also keep in mind that Knight uses Zonar as is main elog / communications. The only ones in the company that still use Qualcomm is a few of us O/O's and some slacker company drivers and we are very few and far between.Last edited: Nov 21, 2015
Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Real simple. Shut the truck off where you can. Cannot be on line 3 if it isnt running, right?Vilhiem Thanks this.
