They are a good company. I'm leasing here. It's a decent program. I like the DirectTV a lot. Get paid for sitting.

Gotta answer the roll call. No, Dennis not giving up on the Cheers Bar either and I too wish Queenie and Cranky Yankee would comeback on a regular basis as they are a huge part of this thread along with Jaso and the others. Me, lately, have been having mediocre weeks lately. In fairness, one week I was off a couple of days but I do sense freight is slowing somewhat as I have had 18 hour plus layovers the last two weeks consecutive waiting for loads. The coming winter months will be the true litmus test to see how well dry van survives. Jaso said dry van usually slows during the winter. I hope I can carry enough household goods, dog food, auto parts, QVC merchandise to sustain me. If not, a return to reefer and trailer washouts, lumper checks, weeks away from home at a time, might be a possibility. Also, I do miss traveling the Heartland. I feel like I am in a box traveling the northeast exclusively. Tradeoff for getting home weekly. Oh well gang, volunteered to work this weekend though I am at the house for a drive by. The company's plan is to get us home Tues or Wed for Thanksgiving break and send us all back out Sunday. I remember last year with TA I was in Dallas during Thanksgiving, and in Wytheville VA headed to Southern Oklahoma on CHRISTMAS. Though I missed being home with Jungho, I enjoyed the travel. Guess I am just a Wayward Sojourner. "I Ride The Highway, I'm going my way, I leave a story untold........-"Roy Orbison"

Please Queenie, CY, comeback. You guys drive this thread!! Redneck made his own choices. You did all you could do. Gave him the best info and advice. That he decided to eschew it, thats on him, but its his right to do what he THINKS its best regardless of right, wrong, or whatever. This thread is not what it is/was without you. Just think of how many people you aren't helping anymore. A travesty! I implore you Pete and Queenie to come back. We want our Den Mother and our Experienced hand/ Court Jester back!!!

Gntorres61 I have thought about doing NE regional so I can be home every weekend. I'm not a big fan of the NE, so don't know if I will ever try it though. I miss my wife and kids too much to stay out more then a few weeks at a time.

Evo, call me George. Where do you live? Are you with your first company?. How long have you been driving rigs? Maybe I can help. I feel for you, man. Once you get a year OTR preferably with one company, and you are on time, and safe, you got options.

I'm three months shy of two years with my current company. I really have no intention of leaving them anytime soon. They have been really good to me.

I'm where you use to be. I have been out on medical since last month though.

It would be great for this thread if current drivers kept it going. A lot of us ghosts have really already posted near all we know about TA. Sometimes posting it over and over again.

My laptop came with Windows 8, have always hated it! Just did the free update to Windows 10, it is like Windows 8 but more of the suckiness built in. Super Hate it!

Drove through Chicago last night, drove through a real snow storm. Pics are from Kenosha Area this morning:

My desktop runs Windows 7. My laptop runs Lubuntu. I have avoided Windows 8. I mainly use my IPad though.

I was on 74 going into Ia. It was no better early this morning. Got to get a radio cause the signs read I-80 West was closed but would have liked to ask someone cause I took a few roads I probably shouldn't have been on to get to US30. Which wasn't too much better. Of all the times I get a light load. Nothing like wind, snow and ice to wake you up in the morning.
