It's not the KW it's the changes in the program.

My attitude hasn't changed I'm just voicing my opinion as others do.

It seems to bother some so I can quit. So if you're happy with the way things are going great I'm happy for you.

I never suggested anything I clearly said that SNI is assuming the last driver did it.

I see how this forum has become that only the 100% die hard Kool aid drinkers can post without recourse but those of us who happen to disagree with the status quo or even the changes forced upon us are accused of an attitude change.

In closing I will say this will be my last post because my attitude hasn't changed I've just started to let it be seen. I appreciate those who are open minded and not blinded by the false promises in this thread or forum.

Good Luck to all and to all ..........

Sorry Tennman but your attitude has changed. Voicing your opinion is one thing, blaming anything and everything on the powers that be at SNI is something all together differrent, and that is all you do anymore. If taking responsibility and following the rules set by an employer is drinking the kool-aid then pour me another glass. SNI is far from perfect, but reading your posts as of late makes me wonder why you continue working here, you must be so miserable, I don't see how you stand it.

Dude, your change in atttitude was well before this contract deal and log deal. Used to be you had a different way about you. Now its mostly all sour with soem humor thrown in here and there.

You definately dont engage like you did when I first came aboard thats for sure.

    @TennMan

I didn't know you before, but whatever demeanour you had before may have changed enough for others who knew you prior to see it.

Not taking sides, but I once heard that if you're offended about something someone says, you might need to do some self examination to be absolutely sure they aren't right.

    @the rest of you

Probably best to drop it. We all know SNI is far from perfect and that holds true for many many drivers.

Most of us, myself included, find it very easy to jump to conclusions and point the finger. Nobody is perfect and last I checked no one here is named nobody.

Regardless of what koolaid you drink, if you're posting here...then someone is at fault for negligence. May not always be the driver, may not even be an SNI employee.

So, just keep that in mind as we vent off steam about someone not doing their job right.

A lot of ICs, myself included, have become frustrated with the way things have been going. And our attitudes are reflecting that frustration.

When I came aboard, there was plenty of freight for everybody and problems like this while very inconvenient, you could still recover from. So yeah many of us are a bit ticked off at SNI because its so much harder now to be profitable, and its not just due to a soft market.

See the rest of the story is that I lost 2 loads due to the delay in waiting for the trailer to be repaired and there was nothing to replace them with.

Those 2 loads came out to around $800 after expenses. That's not just $800 out of my pocket. That's $800 taken from my family because at least 4 people couldn't bring it upon themselves to report a problem, two of which it would have cost them nothing, and the other probably made it worse for themselves.

That's what so many of us seem to forget though. Its not just the driver who has to clean up after you that has to deal with your mess. Maybe they don't have a family but there's a good chance there's a wife or husband and children at home relying on that income and wanting them back home safely.

I had a First Sergeant, any Army vet knows the kind you refer to as "Top", he would say "Do the right thing, even if it costs you your life, you won't be sorry."

Nobody's perfect, but if we fix our own mistakes, help someone out when we can, and not be selfish jerks, even if things aren't great, it won't be all that bad.

That I get. I really do.

Yes, I'm a company driver but when I see a problem, at the very least it gets reported. At most, I fix it myself.

My name is stamped on that trailer after I've hauled it around. So it better not have any issues when I drop it for the next driver.

    That's my take and philosophy.

...that being said...SNI makes you pay for their trailer repairs? Really? That isn't right.

I will be starting with Bulk soon, I guess after reading all 51 pages, I will just log everything I see and Let everyone else worry about getting the license number from the bus I threw them under. seems to be a heated area. I wont throw any names on here though, but maybe in tanker, it wont be as big of an issue.

    WOW!
I don't think it's anyone's business to call out a IC about their attitude.
Saying you don't see how a IC can still be in business is very harsh.
Try walking a mile in their shoes before saying crap like that.
Losing revenue because of trailer maintenance or drivers not reporting it has been going on forever.
    IT WILL NEVER CHANGE.

As for you company guys, maybe if you were a IC then you would see why some of us are disgruntled.

Let he without sin cast the first stone.

    O
Total miss read of what I said anyway .

But whatever. I'll do right in messaging in issues for loaded drops, red tag and inform facility and call or message my office. Takes minimal time while I hope others would do the same, I know better.

Hopefully not. I'm a dedicated driver so I'll see some of the same trailers week to week.

Unfortunately that doesn't stop some from not reporting issues. I hardly mind fixing something myself, and actually enjoy it.

Dedicated is tied down pretty hard on time, we don't always have wiggle room to run it over to the OC and wait for them to fix it, much less have emergency maintenance come out and fix it.

If I'm late, it falls on me. Because it means I'm not able to take a 600mi round trip run with one unload the next day and I end up getting stuck with a 200mi run with 3 unloads.

So IC guys, you're not the only ones... Any good company driver realizes the same, regardless of their route.
