Make sure the valve on the pump is going to full lift position
-
the hydraulic valve spool centering springs may be worn out and the valve is falling slightly into the down position. Otherwise, bad cylinder seals will allow to drop slowly. Listen to hear if valve is diverting fluid to cylinder down position. If you put up and shut everything down, you will be able to hear where the fluid is flowing.
-
Is it a single or double acting cylinder? If it's a single acting and not gushing fluid then it has to be a valve issue, if it's a double it could be bypassing fluid past the piston.
lester Thanks this. -
It's a single and no fluid coming out anywhere. .I had the cylinder repacked last year around this time..also when it goes up in notice the hose jumps a little like it's no fluid or something. .guess it's time for a new pump..any idea of the price of this things ..

Call the place that repack the cylinder was to that sounds like it's full of air..and needs to be bleed..so I'll try that tomorrow to late and dark tonight. .thanks guys I'll post back on what the problem is..

Guess I'm going to have to replace the pump...I took the controls line off and use my air compressor to left the bed and it still comes down so I know the controls are working the way they supposed to

Unfortunately earthmover, most companies do not, or will not sell the springs. You may find some at a hydraulic shop that rebuilds valves, if a solenoid is placed on the same valve, they will have the extra laying around, probably in mechanics tool box.
