We talked to a cop in CA and they said when the bikers spilt the lanes like that and either hit or get hit by a car, then it is automatically their fault and the insurance can't fight or something along those lines. plus, the bikes that are sold in CA are smaller and built for splitting traffic...
And I agree with most of these drivers. You are creating a bigger problem when you are riding in the E lane. I've seen the damage a truck can do to a car at minimal speed, can you imagine what it will do to you? Use the brain God gave you, don't risk your life or others because of the malfunctioning of your vehicle. You're not better than the rest of us stuck in traffic, so quit trying to justify your reasons for doing something illegal. And if you don't like our answers, don't ask. Not lumping you in with the 1%. My hubby and I ride. Not only do I give bikers all the room they need, actually I try to create this big buffer zone around my truck as much as possible lol

Don't complain when you get the dirty looks when you're doing something that's obviously illegal. And don't cry about the lack of sympathy from your fellow road users, either. What you're doing boils down to being a selfish prig.Lurchgs Thanks this. -
Here's my opinion about bikers (motorcyclers). I had a load going up to Rapid City right at the start of the Sturgis Bike Rally. I was thinking, "man, this is gonna be hell!!" So, all the way up through Nebraska there were bikers all over the place. They were having a good time and most were traveling kind of slow. Almost every one of them steered towards the side of the road and some waved me by. I was amazed and I wish everyone would drive like that. The trucks stayed on the left and they stayed right. If somebody has a problem with bikers, they need to find something else to ##### about. That's all I got to say about that.

I've noticed that when there is a group of bikers, particularly those that attend the rallies and such (not the punks with the crotch-rockets), they tend to drive better. Most of the groups I see use the hand signals in addition to the regular turn signals, drive a reasonable speed, and stick together.

The crotch rocket idiots scare me. If they fall over and I hit one, they're dead. Even if it is their fault I still don't want that on my conscience.
But I guess some things are inevitable. Death taxes and crotch rocket idiots. -
Ill start by saying that I so not have a problem with bikers. Now punk kids on crotch rockets are a different story, but true 'bikers', I do not have a problem with. That said, Ill share a little story here. I was fully loaded and climbing an on ramp to get on the interstate. We all know how slow trucks are climbing hills from a start, and the impatient motorcyclist behind me knew that too. Being that he is so manueverable, he felt he could just zip on by me on the ON ramp! I might add that I could have slapped him on the back of the head since he was so close. Now I know every rider isnt a complete moron like this guy, so I took his action as one of ignorance and stupidity on HIS part.

What is a "true biker"? Is that like what's a "true trucker" is? Neither one is real, they are a fantasy. A trucker is a truck driver, whether we like his/her style or not. Same thing as a biker, there are many types of bikers.

Those that embrace the lifestyle. That simple.
-
I think a lot of old school bikers would take exception to that. There's recreational riders and there's bikers. BIG difference.
-
Please explain in detail what your expectations of the lifestyle is, whether biker or trucker? I want to see if I fit your norms.
As for the biker lifestyle: does a motorcross rider fit, does a Harley fit, what about the road racers, how about the guy that ride dual sports? Which is a lifestyle? I think they all are biker, they all live for the ride.
