You are right. I currently use verizon. I like the service and the coverage. I don't like the price. I've been looking for less expensive options, but not having any luck finding any. I need to be able to use my phone while in canada sometimes, and Verizon allows that.

I have samsung note 2's on both sprint and verizon. Between the 2 i have 50 gigs. Instead of paying verizon ONLY $400. I"m paying $185 for the 2 and have more coverage.
Where verizon don't work, which seems to be getting worse on my west coast routes. Sprint will usually work. -
I use T-Mobile and run OTR. I use about 40 to 50 gigs a month and usually all of my 7 gigs of hotspot. The coverage is improving but don't expect Verizon. Also, your unlimited plan comes with Canadian 3G if that means anything to you. I refuse to limit myself because of data limits so for me T-Mobile or Sprint forever.
MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
I used Clear wireless for years but they closed earlier this month. I've switched to a device called the Karma Go, and it's working really well.

They have two pricing plans. You can either pay $10/Gig at really fast speeds, or have unlimited data for $50/month with speed capped at 5 Mbps (which is plenty fast for everything I need to do online). It's actually cheaper than what I was paying at Clear, and the coverage is way better. I'm pretty happy with it. -
This looks like a good one to research. Thx!

Stop using the phone for navigation and drop some coins for a GPS. Will save you a bunch in the long run. You may still want to look at something like Google Maps to see how best to approach a customer's property. But use your map to plan the main route and a good trucking GPS to get you through town.

Karma Go is a MVNO for Sprint, so if you have previously used the Sprint network, you will have a good idea what the coverage is.MrsWJAA Thanks this.

The weird thing is that Clear used the Sprint network also, but I'm getting much better reception with my Karma Go. It probably has something to do with Clear using WiMax vs Karma using LTE, but anyway I'm getting reception in places I never got it before. But yes you're right, they do use Sprint.

This was posted on the RV Mobile Internet Resource center yesterday.
Unlimited Sprint Hotspot Plans for $42.99/month
They compare it side by side with the Karma Go. It's less expensive and has faster speeds. Sprint has gotten a lot better with coverage. I was surprised because I counted them out of the game. -
Been looking at T-Mobile myself... Probably keep my Verizon phone just for calls/text as it is only $15/mo... Then use the T-Mobile phone for Internet and hot stop since I am not as concerned about having "Verizon like coverage" for my surfing and streaming time.
Thanks for your reply about your setup.
