Well they have 1400 tractors and over half of them are leased so I am not sure who is lasting but with that size of a fleet the carrier is making money

No sir. I haul for a logging company locally nowadays,. But I do check out companies with lease purchases to see how folks are making out. And I certainly don't down anyone for taking a shot and trying to have a buisness. Seems to me that all people whoever became successful have taken a risk to get there.

this thread was started by some individuals who have experience with TransAm in a variety of different ways. Unfortunately it seems that people tend to come on to this thread and rather than just leave and go to a different thread that has an interest to them they start throwing comments at people bickering and arguing . It is why the thread has lost many of the OP's and likely will not get them back. which in turn takes away from the individuals who came to this thread to learn about TransAm. You would think as adults we could disagree and not resort to school yard bs that serves absolutely no purpose. Unless of course some people are just so dissatisfied with themselves and there lives that dragging others down. Unfortunate very unfortunate

I agree with you on that comment but been through transam and have orientation scheduled again for the 9th....but for someone to come onto a thread and act like they know it all and cameras are a deal breaker......why stay on a thread??? J/S

I couldn't believe I have pulled 2 Schneider Wal Mart Distribution loads. Thought the first one was a mistake and though "why" after the second with that large of a fleet.

I was not acting like I know it all I was having a conversation with many of the former drivers like passport jaso HTQ. The fact is that I received an offer for employment from TransAm and they have been calling me daily wanting me to confirm a orientation date. So as I have been doing for some time I reached out to some people to learn more about them. Yes I am not a fan of cameras at all. But I would be stupid to not look at a company that obviously has an interest in hiring me. so I have talked with people on this thread for a number of days and I am going to join TransAm for orientation after the first of the year. I will say you do not know me at all so to say I am acting like I know everything is a pretty broad statement especially when you do not know anything about me.

I do not think I know everything. I do have opinions and anything that I post is either my opinion or I have researched it to the point that I am confident in what I am posting. Because of my background and my previous career I have dealt with logistics and equipment manufacturing ofr more than 25 years so yes I do have an opinion and in some cases I have facts to back up those opinions. Simply put I am on this thread because I am going to work for transam in January.. My apologies if something I posted came off as me acting like I know everything. That was not and is never my intent. I am just like every other as you said Rookie and I am trying to make the most informed decision I can by gathering as much research and information as I can..

Good luck with TransAm and maybe when I get there in January we will meet or out on the road..
Best of luck and be safe.

Same to you....not arguing.....just stating facts.....you don't like camera's. ..all the mega carriers are going that way for insurance purposes. ...hence that's why people are saying put your time in and see where it goes from there.....if ta is a fit for you after your year or so then stay if not there will be other gigs
