I'll take a live unload any day of the week knowing I'm going to have an empty when it's done and won't have to sacrifice time and possibly the next load.
Granted you run into that live appointment that may detain you from time to time but honestly I haven't really had any issues there except for one disaster with a grocery warehouse on a load going home but customer service took care of me once it got to the point of ludicrous.

Soo how was rates at Mercer compared to here.. you got 75% while paying for a trailer right?
With all live load/unloads it better be paying a lot more than here for all the wasted time. -
I haven't had much trailer issues. Weekends sometimes I run into not finding an empty because a lot of places don't unload trailers on weekends.
Did a 120 mile load that was a live unload at amazon a couple days ago, took 4 hours.
Took longer than getting the load and driving there.
It's a crap shoot no matter what I pick usually.
However I've got my own no haul list for customers that have taken forever more than once. -
Well key word is Amazon....you gonna wait. Done a few drop and hooks that take 2 hours as well.OceanDan Thanks this.

I never bad mouth a company cause you never know if you'll end up back but rates were the same which ended up being bad for a having a trailer payment... If I did it again I woulve went right into flatbed but that's not where my heart was set on and I don't like forcing the issue with nothing.. There was guys doing well there on the van side but I found you either had to run coast to coast or have a good coordinator and after being on choice for 3 years I hated having to depend on someone in order to pay my bills..
