This is a question you should ask your DOT doctor and the DOT Field office.
Since it will have to do more with the meds you will be on.

Congratulations on your transplant! I too also had a transplant but for my liver. I was wondering the same thing because I'm wanting to get my CDL. Wishing you good health.

A good friend of mine has had a kidney transplant. He's been driving cranes ever since he got over the surgery.
I don't know if he had to jump through any hoops but he's got a valid CDL and health card.Mictrucking Thanks this. -
