    Hello all,
I have a question about the freightliner I've been assigned. I've just started my driving career. Been solo for Schneider for almost 2 months now.
I'm driving an 03 freightliner and there's a spring loaded switch on the right side of the panel that I'm wondering about.
It's labeld "OPT", no one I've talked to knows what it's for, I can't find it in the operators manual and I've not seen it in any other truck I've been in.
I don't really want to play with it, as I have no clue what to expect, but I sure would like to know it's purpose and I was hoping someone here might have any ideas.

My guess is it was an OPTional item the purchaser of the truck didn't want to pay for.

Nope, I looked at that. The switch though, is just to the right of the marker interupt switch

That is the one that ejects you through the roof of the cab. Don't use it in tunnels like my late uncle did.

Stands for Override Police Tickets. When a cop pulls you over, just push it and the cop disintegrates. :biggrin_25523:

Seriously, CMoore is right. It's a dummy switch for an optional accessory.

You guys have it all wrong OPT stands for oh please take me now. Like when you have used the top of your trailer to clean off the bottom of an overpass.
