Hey! There he is! ...#### you really do look like the Gorton's fisherman…

You also bear strange resemblance to my father…

I think something to consider with what women want, not that I'm any expert on the field mind you and this is purely speculation, and what women are getting from the younger generations of like myself… Has to do more with a person's upbringing.

I was brought up not necessarily to be subservient, but to be a nice, and very sensitive guy. As a result, that leaders side was not nurtured as well. Don't get me wrong, it's there, but it only shows itself when absolutely needed.

From how I was raised, I was always under the assumption that being genuine nice guy but Everywoman says they want, is actually what they want. I have since been slightly, and she's still working on it, re-educated.

I would like to think that how men are raised nowadays, be at purposeful or accidental, is to put Women on a pedestal and treat them like shiny, fragile things. The end result, is that you have someone who doesn't understand the need for balance.

Mind you, I am no expert, and I'm only speaking from personal experience and I'm speculating many points.

Your speculation shows much wisdom and insight for your age oh young one

There might be hope for some of the younger generation after all lol

It's not so much purposeful or accidental as a consequence of the decline of the 2 parent household and actually having a man in the house to teach these young men what it means to be one. I've done much thought and analysis of this.

It's now a self perpetuating problem because now you have a 2nd or in cases 3rd new generation raising boys who themselves don't know how to be men, if they even are in the house and take on the responsibility.

It's a sad state of affairs. That's why, when a woman does find a real, true, good man who knows what it means to be one, she guards him with her life and stays with him lol

For now I'm not posting any selfies... But
I'd like to think that I found the right one, otherwise, she's wasting a lot of time trying to educate me. LOL

My folks got separated not long after I started having the changes a child has… My father figure ended up being my grandfather, who admittedly is a bit of a functional alcoholic, was not always there because he had his own life and things to watch over.

So I can, to some degree, agree with what you're saying. I think the sad part is with the self perpetuating circle you speak of. Divorce rates have gone skyhigh, and statistically/logically so has the number of absentee fathers.

I'll be sure to give my grandfather your compliment though… He takes great pride in seeing me be a functioning member of the younger branch of society.

I had a hot load last night so I actually went (over) the speed limit for once. You're right, those 55mph trucks sure are annoying when in a hurry ;)

Anyway, here's what a 9mpg truck (@55mph) does at 72mph with 39k of dog food in the box on flatish IL roads with no wind (but 19°F temps):

Same conditions, only drafting 100 yards behind a bull hauler (smelled empty):

Unfortunately he dropped me on the first hill :(

Finished the day @ 7.3mpg, but that included some 58mph driving through Nashville & Chattanooga...

I told her Dad had quite a shoe collection. More than likely has a pair of Chanel Pumps. Me staying home longer right before Xmas doesn't seem to bother her as much now??

I may have to take today off from posting then ... or we can just refer to the one in my avatar instead!

All drama is stupid.... Bah. I'm being ignored today too, yay.

Oh and where is the snow in the forecast? It knows I have checks to bring, and therefore is staying away :p

Then you have the morons like the guy I just ran across in the bathroom of the TA who are in a class of their own lol

He emptied the paper towel holder, one at a time, folding them in little squares on the counter. Then when he had gotten them all out of there, folded the stack up, stuck it in his pocket and walked out.
