    Hourly. With great benefits.

I had heard that we were trying to shift some loads from contractors to company trucks, but I haven't heard anything about selling any assets. I seriously doubt that they would even think about going all contractor. QualityMike, where did you hear that we were selling the Rocky Mountain Divisions, and to whom?

In our monthly safety meetings directly from the regional manager. Not if, but when. No transfers out of the region. Latest was a company was only interested in the North Dakota/Montana area and did not want the Wyoming operation. We already had various company people tour the Watford City facility. Information that was given is that, even though the Rock Mt Region is profitable, Enterprise has other projects in Texas that they need the cash for. They are selling all assets and will be exiting the market completely. That is where the speculation that the 15 company drivers in Watford may be gone with the new owners. There are 45+ contractors in Watford. Two of the companies that are looking only employ contractors to haul their oil.

Thanks for the info. I know we are always looking for drivers for Casper and Watford City, I guess we've had a hard time finding enough good help up that way.

You backed into a berm. What will it be next time? Also, you probably weren't supposed to be backing up on location anyway, right?
Nobody up here cares about how many highway miles you've driven. Everybody I've known who rolled a truck up here had tons of safe highway miles. The oilfield is a different animal.

Get off your high horse. The OP already said he'd been up there for at least a year. You should concentrate on reading and actually understanding the information that's in front of you first, before you try to come up with some foolish criticism to make yourself feel superior to others.

Oh I understand it. I just have heard the same bs for the past 3 years. It's always somebody that screws up, putting the contract in jeopardy, and then whining about how they were wronged since they have a bunch of safe highway time. If you knew of powerfuels you would know they can't afford any screw ups. They're on the brink of sitting down almost every yard except Tioga, last I heard. Layoffs galore. If you want a job you need to earn it, and backing over something that hasn't moved in years isn't the way to do it.

The rates are definitely down in the toilet and the money is definitely nothing like what it used to be so it's getting pretty cut throat out there at the moment. They definitely cannot afford to lose any contracts

It's always much more who you know than what you know. I'd say this should be taught in high schools, but in a nice way that won't make kids give up on life.
