I've worked at or for just about every major company on the road and can tell you from experience, the hiring process is always the same. Usually the same amount of time. You fill out the app online, they do basic pre hire, you go in, do more thorough background, road test, pee test. Sometime in that few days or week, they decide if they really want to hire you.

Im currently with a trainer right now. So far it is good. They will ask you if you want to train with an alliance trainer and then after a month or two ask if you want to go alliance. They are big on safety and have their trucks governed at 60 mph but my trainer has me running 55mph.

    SHOJim Thanks this.

    Uh, sorry Pardner.

That statement right there is contradictory. Unless you run all surface streets.

They simply talk about safty a lot in school. I have run 55mpg on two lane roads with this guy. If you get bad mpg your speed gets cut and you will have a talk before getting terminated. His truck can do 64mph but he likes it cruisin since he is averging 9.1mph so far.

If he goes to Stevens then when he gets his physical he will have to strip. Their dot physical is stricter and will take time just dont tell the whole truth. One guy was sent home for saying he likes to have a beer everyday after work.
