This picture reminds me of my older brother. When he was 17 he hit a herd of black Angus cows that had gotten out of a field and were standing in the middle of the highway. He was in a 57 Chevy hot rod that he had built and was trying to get home before 'curfew'. He killed 7 cows outright and 2 more died later on. He told me that the last time he looked at the speedometer he was running 110 mph. The impact was strong enough that from his grip on the wheel he bent the wheel double down onto the steering column and rammed his chest into the center. The good thing that came out of it for me was no more 'curfews'. My mom and pop decided they would rather have us come home late than not at all. As a side note, the farmer had the gall to sue my parents for the cows he lost........the judge threw it out of course and told him he better hope my parents didn't decide to sue him.....

You got that right. That old car was like a tank. I remember sitting in it in the field where the tow truck dropped it pretending to drive....and just trying to close the door was hard because it was so heavy.
-
The terrible part is that I had no idea...I just figured you'd appreciate that one in particular.

Yep...!
Had an 88 ranger, built like a tank... Got t-boned by a brand new car. Both cars considered totalled...
Except they totalled mine because it wasn't valued higher than the paper the policy was written on.
Spent a couple dollars and reset the fuel safety... Drove it for two more years and got the s10 I'm replacing now. -
Done for the week! Time fer dinner and a shower. Then time to rodeo! Y'all some busy fingered folks. My eyes crossed a time or two, but I'm caught up again, fer now! Lol

Of course you realize that the rye-flavored bread you buy in the stores actually has more wheat than rye... my wife makes ours from scratch with 100% rye flour... hard to eat the chemical factory they put out for bread nowadays... getting spoiled by a good woman.
I love watching someone fly by me with a detector on their dash...I get to see their taillights light up when I turn on my radar... my username has double meaning, photos only being 1 of them
I like the way you think,
truckon, mountaingote, TLG87 and 6 others Thank this. -
That is unusual... the pits in the pit of a parkin' lot are usually as deep as Lake Michigan. Part of the ambiance of that place... slide outta yer truck an' almost drown in one of them holes... nuttin' quite like that on a cold night!

Well...you couldn't have known....and I did appreciate it!

I worked as the head of an IT department for a few years at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and I had a 55 Chevy step side truck that I used to drive back and forth to work. I was almost to the parking garage one day and a woman ran a red light and stuck the nose of her 80 something camaro out into the intersection and I literally knocked the entire front of her car off. From the firewall it came apart like it was made out of lego blocks.
I knew something was up when she and a passenger got out and ran and left the poor guy in the back seat stuck with a stupid look on his face. Turns out of course the car was neither registered nor insured and I basically lost my truck because the insurance wouldn't pay near what it was worth...but man...that thing was like a battering ram!
