Must have been more gravity right there.

by the pic looks like they totaled more than 1 trailer you would think even a moron would stop after the 1st one

I remember being told, by my first boss, that in general when dismounting a truck, trailer, short drop, or steep hill you want to go easy, keep it square, and when it starts to go, to ride it out.
Well That gives new meaning to the phrase, ride it out!!
Now having been in construction, mostly excavation, all of my life I have had a few "Rides" but Wow, regardless of the cause, could you imagine that ride!!! on Forky!! Hang the #### On! We're Goin' down!!
Can you hear the conversation, something Like.
So Ahhh DUDE, Like I just totally drove that Forkin Truck right Outa that Trailer, Like totally. Sorry Dude.. Man that's ahh Bummer man, Totally, Did you see that Man, Awwwsome...#### right there!!
So Ahh yeah your trailer like totally killed our Forky, right so uhhmm yeah it must have been your weak trailer at fault here because like we like have totally Awwwsome forky operators they are Tottally PrOOfessionals!!!!Dustyroads38 Thanks this. -
That made my head hurt, all that valley girl talk.
dngrous_dime, misterG, Dustyroads38 and 4 others Thank this. -
Look on the bright side. At least the forklift's on the ground, and both it and the trailer are still upright.

Same with most truckers lol.
I remember back a few winters ago I was dispatched out to a remote area to get a dead excavator running and limped out to the road so it could be loaded on a float and sent to the shop. Got it running and walked out to the float. Mr. Hotshot swamper gets on the controls and starts walking up onto the deck. About halfway up the trailer he blips one track and puts the machine at about a 45 degree angle across the trailer, leaving it teetering on the edge. He managed to save it though. I thought for sure we were all going for a #### test that day!PeteyFixAll and truckdad Thank this. -
To be totally honest, when I was a crane operator I may have said the same thing about truck drivers once or twice.Nothereoften, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this.

update. unloaded my load Monday about 11am. looked closer at my side rail on my trailer where he slipped the excavator off. worse than I thought. the last six outriggers wont swing out. he tweaked my top flange rail. so now I have to get my portapowers out and tweak the rail back in shape. if I cant then off to the trailer repair shop and send the bill to the customer. the foreman already agreed to cover the cost if it goes that far. found out this wasn't the first time with this hand. he chewed up a brand new wagon of theirs a week ago! he got a week off for what he did Saturday.
SAR Thanks this. -
Twice in a week? A week off? That would have been the unemployment line & send me the bill to fix your wagon when I had operator/employees. That's just me, though....
Hope you can get it fixed up, that sucks.tsavory Thanks this.
