Ok this is to everyone. If you sign anything unless it is irs forms, GET A COPY.

Tell them you want a copy, don't ask for it, TELL THEM and then sign both copies, have them sign them too and make sure you get one no matter what. If they pull the bs that they will sign it some other time or say they will take it to sign, tell them you want to see it signed.

There are several reasons for this, but one is something that happened to a couple of us owners at a popular carrier a few years back, I didn't enforce that rule and almost got screwed. There were five owners who were there to sign contracts and get started with them. They sent us contract in advance and two of us had lawyers read them and explain them line by line. We signed them, they took them to be signed somewhere else which happens sometimes but they changed one page out when it was being signed in another office, I and the other owner who had lawyers look at them caught the scam and told them to screw themselves, this carrier even had the nerve to call my manager up and demand payment for not showing up to orientation, my lawyer called them up and told them they will be investigated by their state for this action and they can drop the bs.

I'll keep that in mind for future references Ridgeline, took the hard route this time it seems.

As of right now we're on day 18, not even a hint of a trainer for me, however another student that passed after me has gotten a notice his trainer will get him tomorrow, he found out on friday.

I think if I make it to 3 weeks I'll skip a ladder rung or two and go straight to the owner of the company, maybe then I can get a straight answer with their "open door policy". Oh, and I found out today our $50/day while waiting for a trainer can only be paid out as an "advance" and to boot they can only pay out 75% of the total. It seems after all this BS I may need to buy a new pair of boots because these may be permanently marred by stepping in it all.
