You will be singing a different tune in two years when you can't find parking anywhere. Elogs mean more trucks in the truck stops.

Agreed! Looks like I'll be in the market for a Pre-2000 COE by 2017.... unless these guidelines change again!

That and a lot of trucks on off ramps and shoulders because they cant find parking. Even now rest areas are mostly impossible to find parking after dark. I've pretty much given up on trying to use the bathroom at a rest area after dark.
I can see a lot of frustration and problems for the first year or two as everyone graduates to Elogs.
Anyone have a simplified version of that PDF? Or just the highlights? I tried reading into it,.. I'm too tired to really stay focused and not understanding much of what I am reading.
HurstKB3MMX Thanks this. -

Especially for someone like me. I can do it,.. but I will be more tired and more of a danger trying to stay within the HOS than how I operate now. I did it for 12 months and I was miserable. I felt like a zombie all the time.
HurstKB3MMX, Long FLD and poppapump1332 Thank this. -
After checking the massive document and asking clarification from others, any truck manufactured prior to 2000 is exempt. One person stated the document as "2000 and older". Either way, I guess I'm going the opposite route of a glider.Hurst Thanks this.

Yes that's the cutoff pre 2000 trying to find out about gliders with late 90s engines or time to go mechanical gliders
