Booked a load from OH to NE 806 miles for $2100 bucks. Show up and they let the guy who loads the product I am getting leave early. So I will load tomorrow and they will pay me detention. Loading plastic pipe Monday in NE going to OK $900 on 474 miles.
Lonesome and Sneakerfix Thank this. -
One of the things I love most about Malone is the ease of taking time off. I took 12 days off with my family and returned to work with a negative balance of $2286. This week as of Monday I've profited $3,082.86 (after Malones cut, fuel and maintenance) when I deliver Tuesday in Oklahoma. So my deficit is paid and ill be getting a $1000 paycheck or so. More if I deliver a load Wednesday and have them add it to this check. People say you can't make money here, I agree you can't if you don't work.
Setting my goal for 2016 for $225,000 in revenue with four full weeks off. So $4687 a week.
I meet a lot of guys here that are happy with moving three loads a week, making $700-1000 (before tax deductions) bucks and going home for the weekend, Or just reset and take it easy. I can't justify time away from my 10 month old daughter and wife for $1000 a week. That's company driver pay.
My fixed expenses are $918.54 which includes $40 for supplental insurance incase I get hurt,$75 for equipment which will be paid off in 17 weeks. And $14 for legal service protection. I am currently under guaranteed maintenance so everything is paid for if it breaks minus glass. Which is great, BUT none of the money I'm paying into maintenance now I get to keep it's pulled into one big fund. Which I hate but having the fact of knowing everything is covered until September 2017 makes me feel better and gives me a chance to save $ for issues that may happen after that period ends.
I put $125 a week into a personal maintenance fund which hasn't and will not be touched. So when my guaranteed maintenance runs out I have at least $13,000 to help with maintenance issues that occur then I will bump my maintenance to $450 a week until I'm at $25,000 or so then 0.15 cents a mile from there. I also have a $6,000 balloon payment at the end of my lease so at 120 weeks left on my lease I will have them start taking out $50 a week so when I pay my last truck payment the title is mine and no balloon to be worried about (even though they would finance it if I wanted.)
So you take 918.54 and add $118 a week for health insurance and $125 a week for my personal maintenance you get $1161.54 which is the amount I consider my true fixed expenses.
With that being said I need to clear $2600-28 a week after 25% cut, maintenance and fuel which after I put away for taxes normally leaves $1500 for home life.I've been able to obtain this since being here and be by the house often.
I'm in this for the long haul not just the week to week.BullJockey, RERM, HalpinUout and 8 others Thank this. -

Keep us posted Play, I'm really interested in how things are going for you. I started at Crash Roll Stunt Team because it was a place to start (Thank God I wasn't on contract!), and I wouldn't recommend CRST to anyone, but I heard that Malone was a different world altogether. Glad to hear that things are better over on your side of the house.
Don't add any drama just to keep us interested, that wouldn't be safe.playamwj12 Thanks this. -
Hey playamwj12 this is a great thread thanks for starting it up it helped me make my mind up about Malone. I talked to the recruiter and I'm coming over at the start of the year, I've got vacation time due to me from my current company and I'm gonna use it before I lose it. I was a little curious about the load securement training they provide, is it good enough to to get you going and to be safe and legal? or should I consider picking up some training material
tompetty69 and playamwj12 Thank this. -
It's pretty good training. You'll learn how to secure every type of coil, tarp, bungee etc. They give you a great securement book to take as well. If you ever have any questions many people in the office have flatbedded before and will take picture text messages to help you.
tompetty69, 88 Alpha and ratherBfishn Thank this.
