I've been driving for a while now and I gotta say...Sysco in alachua fl is probably the best-run receiver I've ever been to, dry box or reefer. I had a load of frozen English muffins that delivered last night at 10pm. Pulled up to the gate at 9:40, security guard takes my paperwork, checks my seal, five minutes later I have a door assignment. I follow the directions to the door, bring in my paperwork, and the bathroom is clean and the lady behind the counter is friendly and nice. There's a sign on the wall that says 'NO LUMPER FEES. HAVE A NICE DAY'. I bump the dock and immediately get a red light. 40 minutes later it's green, I go inside grab my paperwork and back to the guardshack. Cursory glance inside my box and I'm done. I must have looked tired (was at the end of my 14) and the guy says feel free to park in our bullpen, 24 hours before and after your appointment. Nice big bullpen. I roll in, pull the brakes, look at my clock. 11:15. Unreal. Told dispatch I'll take loads here anytime he finds em.

The one in Holly Hill, FL is the same except they don't have room to park for breaks.

There are more Bad Sysco DCs than there are good ones.

I think I've just had a real string of crappy receivers...that's why I was so amazed.

People that think Sysco's are bad haven't been to the receivers that are really bad.
