Hello buddies.
Quick question. I am on paper log if you know what I mean. I got pulled in at the Sundance POE in WY. All they asked was Registration and IFTA. No logbook or DL check. Does anyone know if that stop can be seen in other scales like the way an inspection can be seen by anyone? Any information I get will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Standard procedure in WY, they do it at both POE on I-80. 99% of times were other trucks,I parked for 5 minutes, and left, but I am EVIL!!!!

They enter your info into the computer, I'm sure it's available to all the coops in WY. Don't know if anyone else has access to it. It's a recorded time stamp for sure.

More then likely yes other port of entries will be open.not just wyoming but all of the west coast.they wanna make sure you have the required permits etc.I doubt they'll check your logs but I wouldn't take the chance. make sure it will pass.

I'd say the possibility of anyone down the road "connecting the dots" are very slim, to none. I would not worry about it and log the way that works.

It depends. There are no hard and fast rules about interactions between State DOT officers and truckers. An officer may just check as you cross the scale or there may be a state wide special enforcement action. What do you remember? Was the officer typing in his car or the scale house or was the officer outside with you? If the officer was outside with you most likely when you pulled away it was over. However you should log it and move on.

A friend of mine, whose wife was working at the Echo POE in Utah, told me that they could see entry times from WY and CO. The story he told me was that she caught a guy who showed he just started in Rock Springs after his 10 hours off, but according to the computer he had just come through Cheyenne 7 hours ago and Fort Collins before that. Apparently the new camera setup they have on the ramps tell them everything but the color of your underwear befpore you even get down the ramp to the building, including any recent interactions with any connected POE. Not sure if this involved prepass or if it was just the automatic recording of the DOT number as he went by.
Take it for what it's worth...you know how these "I know a guy who knows a guy" stories are. But if it was me I wouldn't stretch the truth too far just in case.NavigatorWife and kabusheke2004 Thank this. -
Wyo enters yer VIN like CO. If a cop stops you they can call the scale and see when you went thru

I thought this was a question about a Purity Of Essence test.
