So why wont every driver in this forum get together and stop the EOBR/ELD? No I know why, but still. We are all thinking it.

Same reason why guys haul cheap freight because someone else told them it's the way it is. No backbone folks out here just accept what's handed to them

Or you need to join the fight against those stupid things by joining OOIDA and/or any other organization challenging this ridiculousness.

My dad is a member of OOIDA. Problem is that his truck is 2004 and will have to put elogs on it.

Mine came off the line 6/2000 and is "technically" an '01. I will NOT put one of those stupid things in my truck. I don't care if I need to work strictly local or intrastate, or possibly find another truck that came off the line at least a few months earlier if I want to play "by the book". There is a quick and easy solution to the situation I may resort to doing that would solve a bunch of problems without taking on the headaches of replacing a perfectly good truck with an unknown older one...but it isn't one I'm going to post details about on a public forum. Bottom line, I'm not running elogs. Period. End of sentence.

Looks like I'll be keeping my 98 international 9400 with a cat 3406. All my friends though I was crazy for buying an older truck looks like I'll be the last one laughing.
