ya, im sure it would, leaving a high % of drivers who run illegally left on the road, all driving 12+ hours a day and logging it as 11 or fewer, im sure that would make the roads safer.

go get your "4 hour reset" done so you can think straight fella.

Absolutely. Take me, for instance: we need to get my no-good, rotten, wreckless-driving, paper-login', 20-yrs without a ticket or accident butt off the highways. They'll be a lot safer with all the kiddies fresh out of CDL school running around dragging 80,000 pounds with ear buds in and feet on the dash, since they'll have that E-log and everything.

those new guys will learn their lesson too. but if you are an illegal runner thats going to quit, you can take your 20 years of exp straight to the unemployment office. the roads will be safer without you.

aint going to miss a ###### one of you.

Hate to burst your bubble, but elogs vs paper has zero to do with safety. The fleet guys on elgos cause accidents. The outlaw running paper logs causing chaos and destruction is a myth, and you've bought into it.

    tsavory and BoostedTeg Thank this.

  7. I feel sorry for you. Thinking the ol' school crowd is the "illegal runners".

We run 8 3/4 hrs a day. Get good sleep. Get to our pickups and drops on time. Make good money. And watch you and your elog crowd on here talking how u got 5 min. Left on your 14 and barely make $800. /week running 2 months to 3 months straight.

You keep thinking we are the illegal runners. Mr. Elog.

DTP, tsavory, BoostedTeg and 2 others Thank this.

do elog drivers cause accidents? sure they do, there are bad drivers everywhere. but that myth you speak of about outlaw drivers who dont give a #### about the HOS,.....is real. you guys are horrible drivers. no matter how good you think you are, you are horrible. you are the same drivers who will ride right up on somebody's rear end to make a statement of "hey, gtf out of the way", you are the same drivers who will be traveling at unsafe speeds both on the straights and the clovers, you guys break more than just the HOS rules, you guys do not seem to give a rats ### about any of them. Most of the bad truck drivers I see while im out driving, are OO's who just dont give a #### about anything but their paycheck. not all but most.

never said the old schoolers are the ones illegally logging their books. i only want the illegal drivers off the roads.
if you are following the HOS the right way, what difference does it make if you are on elogs or paper? it doesnt effect your pay at all. the ones who are against the HOS and ELogs for the most part say it will effect their pay due to being forced to drive at times they dont want to drive and logging all the hours they actually sit. they dont want to follow the HOS, has nothing to do with how long you been on the road.

why would you think anything different?

I get home every night, make good money, have lots of vacation time and very happy with where im at, but this has nothing to do with my elogs, nor should it for you either.

So the owner/operators are the ones breaking all the laws, and just don't care? I guess it makes sense, since we have nothing to lose like you company drivers do. After all, it's just a job, right?
