The 5 months I spent taught me quite a bit. I would have lost my mind if all I did for 5 months was just maneuver around orange cones and drive around the block.

Another driver reported that Werner only pays $100.00 per month reimbursement for tuition while your employed with them not to exceed $7500. So If you stay over 6 years i guess you get your money back.

You would be much better off to find a reasonably priced school and go to work for a much better Company and make way more money.

Sorry, only school I went to other than elementary, junior high, and high school, was the Massachusetts school of hard knocks, but good suggestion from the OP, only problem is? Most newbies won't listen I'm afraid, I've been driving sense 87' and been asked for opinions, just to find out they didn't take the advice, I usually hear, wish I'd have listened!, case in point, a driver at my company quit a few months ago to go to a rival company, I know the company and how they operate, told him it would be a mistake, he chimes in by saying "they are offering me $2.00 more an hour, but guess what? He has already came back to work here, and I heard the usual response "wish I had listened to your advise"

8 weeks of class at 5 hours a night for me. I had a total of 3 people in my class. At the end we all had more than 60% more than what the state required for seat time. I used my GI Bill for mine as well. If you used GI Bill benefits, you most likely will not get any money back for tuition reimbursement. You didnt pay for your school, the VA did. My first company TMC offered reimbursment as well, but when I asked her about it, she said that the VA showed that I had paid for my school with my benefits and since it wasnt an out of pocket expense, I was SOL.

Your questions all look like questions I asked prior to my going to school. My school cost $4200 and I feel was overinflated, but in the end it was worth it. Even more so since I didnt pay out of pocket for it. I would suggest you go for a company that has a Veterans OJT program, youll get extra money each month for up to 24 months.

In the fontana area (where op went) about 2 to 3k sounds about right for a decent school. My buddy went to one in el Monte for $1,200 but you get what you pay for in that case.

None of the companies I ever worked for asked what school I went to btw
