I had a dream that I had an old 60's record player on a shelf in my sleeper, and I was trying to set the SWR on it. It was sky-high, and every time I looked at the meter, it was the gauges on my dash..... Then I realized "Hey, dummy, it's a record player, no need to worry about SWR." I was relieved, but about that time, my truck started revving uncontrollably and I was frantically trying to get it to stop before it threw a rod or something, and that's when I woke up, sweating and shaking, and the frac crew was firing up the pumps (full throttle) on location, right behind my truck. Made me feel real smart.

When I worked for Pepsi, I decided to park underneath a shade tree and grab a quick nap. Another driver saw me, rolled up and blew his air horn. Scared the #### out of me. He laughed and asked if I didn't have anything better to do, I could help him with his route. I politely showed him what I though of him with my finger, pulled my cap down over my eyes and continued my nap.

Would say I got married before I killed myself. Worked days and would be out with girlfriend at night. Twice on the way home would fall asleep and go off the road on the opposite side. You hear rocks and gravel and know you fell asleep but can't figure out where your at. Scares the hell out of you and then you figure out you could have hit someone head on.

Personally I think it's a good thing for drivers on the up and up. I had an accident where I was rear ended by a drunk driver, came close to killing both her and her passenger. No fault of my own, (police didn't even ask to see my logbooks) but I did get sent in for drug and alcohol testing. It could have helped, if one of those idiots had died and someone tried to name me in a wrongful death lawsuit. At least they couldn't have tried to claim that I might have been wasted.

Law enforcement does these tests per procedure. They aren't accusing the driver of anything, they're eliminating causes and working down their list to clear the fatality in a professional, law enforcement manner. It's actually a benefit to the driver to be cleared.

I have a continuous nightmare that I'm driving fairly slowly but my brakes won't work. It's usually the same dream, I end up in the ditch but once I was on an old West Virginia coal road and ended up rolling. I actually like that one because I wake up and I'm thankful it was just a dream.

I dream about being on an elevated highway and driving off of an exit ramp. Have that dream about once every 6 months or so.
