You will be OK there..my son in law is finishing his p 2 training there...
It is a good place to get your training then move on once you get the road time required for better jobs.

Friend went to orientation and never stayed. Told me that run down hotel was filled that he said it was a cattle call. 71+ people shows up throws up a red flag and the word turnover.

The grass is greener on the other side syndrome, is everywhere no matter the type of job you have.
Sometimes it's better to fertilize your grass and make it greener,
just saying PTL offers company drivers free stock and after 5 years 100% vested. Rough spots in life drive you forward, ask someone in North Korea bout their
    Opportunities. just saying
PTL #1 for beginners and career
    minded.

Badmon and TB John Thank this.

You know, I always hated that. Finish up orientation on the third day around noon to 2:00pm, and immediately get a 500-600 mile load that has to be there the next morning. You get no time to set the truck up and get comfortable AND you are running tired because you were up early to begin with.

I always wished that companies would give you that half a day to get the truck set up and then dispatch you out first thing the next morning.

My company flew me to my truck, slept there for the night, then they let me drive the truck home for a 5-7 day time off for putting up with 4 weeks of orientation/trainer truck.

    Badmon Thanks this.

PTL really dont care about drivers. They only want desperate drivers that just need to get a foot in the door, and will wait around for them, reguardless if they have personal time frames in their lives. You sit around for days after the formal paperwork is fill out just to go retreive a truck that someone else abandoned. And I guess thats ok if you really need a job, but dont even think they'll go the extra mile for you cause they wont. Dont leave your truck unlock cause ppl steal at that outfit!

Hello , people's have family drive trucks and I been around plenty people's who are driving just to get your foot in the door to get experience is what count because paying school back money and trying to take care family must do what you got to do! I stay in Dallas/forthworth and trust me some good companies I think it's the dispatch who's sending you out!
