My adventures at CRST Malone

Been in KS since last night. Loading crane mats in a few hours going to Cleveland TX. $1200 on 544 miles

 

Done for the night 127 miles from delivery. Where to next? Good question freight sucked out of TX so I haven't booked anything yet. I'll figure something out, I always do.

 

Things pretty slow today in TX. Booked a 66 mile run in the morning for $210 then hopefully reload somewhere east.

 

I did make it 1143 miles out with sailboat fuel. They had loads available just not going the direction I needed to go. So I dead headed home. Will work tomorrow and Tuesday and be off Wednesday and back to work Monday. One of the reasons I keep fuel money on my card at all times is to deadhead if I have to. Family comes first... especially when it comes to your only child's first christmas.

 

Booked a 112 mile load going to MD to a veterans rehabilitation hospital. $600 would've done it free.

Unload there in the morning and deadhead to VA to load for NC $800 on 234 miles. This delivery will put me about 4 hours from the house I will probably go back out empty and continue on Monday.

Looking forward to the new year.

Goals include:
$225,000 in revenue or more

Average loaded mile $2.25 or better

Reduce deadhead when able

Continue to fund personal maintenance fund.

Take four full weeks off and be through the house with my family every chance I can profitably.

 

Been home since about noon today. Loading Sunday in Fredericksburg VA going to Pearl River NY delivering first thing Monday. $982 on 316 miles

 

Appreciate that. It's not always easy but if you focus on making good business decisions and work hard you can do fine.
