Hood's Truck Stop, exit 61, will put you about 12 miles out. Older mom and pop place but always a spot to park. There are a couple of other favorites if you don't make it quite that far, but Hood's will put you the closest.
You never know with Texas ....it can be hard to get a load out of there at times .....and everything coming out of there is always heavy! I would have taken the load too, just to get home.
Harrison, Arkansas or Harrisonville, MO?

MO. Shoot I could be wrong but the load sheet is way over in my clipboard and I'm layin in my bunk watchin Netflix...checked my rollover data today and was happily informed that I still had 18gb left so I got that goin for me.
Yeah this load is listed at 43k, and with my reefer I'm gonna be ticklin the legal limit. REALLY wasn't thinkin when I booked this load. -
Harrisonville, MO makes more sense ....otherwise, you would have to backtrack some. There is a scale at Harrisonville....they have been working hard. They usually close down for lunch about 11:00.

Frick. Well I'll straight up be legal when I get there, I scale everything over 30k and refuse to roll with an unfixable load. Plus I'll have already dropped at Springfield so I'll be that much lighter.
Anyways enough about me. What do YOU think about me?
(I always loved that question) -
..... Hmmmmm .....I think you are a wonderful dad that has his priorities straight and I'll be praying that you get home early!

Since there are a lot of hard working truck drivers who have been doing this job for a long time, this may be the wrong place to post this but .... : I am tired of driving!
I normally work about 6 and a half months, then take a vacation. It will be 8 and a half months this time and I am ready for a break!
In Boston now, will make one more long round trip between Omaha and the northeast, then one short time (Omaha to Chicago or Minneapolis) then time to get on a big jet airplane!HometimeQueen, jaso37 and scottlav46 Thank this. -
Get back to work slacker. LOLpassport220 Thanks this.

In Roseville, CA. Tired of this winter already. Vail Pass some ice then Donners Pass almost all ice. I need some tropical climate. Don't mind the cold but hate ice and wind. Plus I'm getting used to this Volvo, it feels squishy and I need to get used to that.
Merry Christmas to everyone. Scot hope you get home for it.
I did my delivery and now have the day off. Can't wait to see what I get tomorrow. Hopefully a big paying load.passport220 and scottlav46 Thank this. -
Are you doing a lease again Jaso?
passport220 Thanks this.
