Yes.. over all great experience and would go back, I just wanted to get back into flatbed

 

I just had a Dart recruiter hang up on me over an ad they are running but have no openings for drivers.
The ad (below) is what I inquired about. She proceeded to tell me that she had a Texas run that was dedicated and I could get 1900 miles a week. The 2012 Freightliner that she was trying to push off on me was $252 per week They want the first month of truck payments up front ($1008 ), but they would work with me on that. Then later in the lease there is a balloon payment (she didn't specify the amount), but they would work with me on that as well. When I started running the numbers in my head (which I'm good at doing) and asking more questions about the weekly earning potential for the driver (after all of the expenses), she got frustrated because she couldn't argue with the numbers and hung up on me. Assuming the driver would have actually received 1900 miles per week, the end result would have been the driver making $600 a week before income taxes after all other expenses. Not to mention you wouldn't have health insurance or any other benefits. The ad below is a complete falsehood. If Dart could actually guarantee the information in the ad below, they wouldn't have to run the ad because drivers would be lining up at their door for the opportunity. Which means if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

So you're wanting the short haul run? The short haul is basically like local running, when you think about it what local trucking jobs don't pay much at all so the 600-750 bucks is about right for something like that.
