    Nope, they'll double down.

Kind of pointless to have a camera that only records when something bad happens. They'll decide they need to monitor drivers at random times. The whole idea of the cameras, IMO, is to prevent bad things from happening. Minimum wage people who have never driven a truck will do this and will be given a list of things to watch for but someone in safety who has likely never driven a truck also.

But hey, if you're not doing anything wrong.......

Hopefully it will help. We'll see how Swifts accident rate changes over the next couple of years.

The average fast food employee is making less than $20k per year.

The Average Truck Driver makes about $45,000 - and that includes the local/shag guys. OTR is closer to $52,000 average.

Make sure you keep your seatbelt on at all times while inside the truck, even if you are parked. The camera will catch you.

After I quit I filled out half of an application to another outfit, didn't have all the info, recruiter calls me next day I fill the rest out, boom hired. If your driving record is not a complete disaster you'll get hired the next day by a new company. You can't pass a truck without seeing on it hiring o/o and company drivers.I was not going to drive a truck with a camera 6 in from my face, some will there are too many companies out there. Trucking is not a job it's a lifestyle I entered the industry because of the freedom take that away then it becomes a job that you can count on a mangled hand how many days a month your at the house.time is money and we don't get paid for every minute so compensation must be allocated from a different currency(freedom)

I thought about going with Swift but they use the driver cams. I hear JBS Carriers do now as well. Only bottom barrel companies that don't yet are Western Express, Werner and Schneider.

Schneider isn't really bottom barrel; it's considered a pretty good company for a mega.
