    No not married to highschool sweetheart, yes I do not smoke, drink or use drugs, no I do not go to any church's, but I do donate to some charities, but perfect? sorry to say, no, I've made some mistakes in my life, but someone who has just failed a drug test, I wouldn't hire, did I say I'd never give someone who has used drugs in the past? no I didn't, but he/she would have to have been clean for many years, not just months

    @Big Papaxx

    If it was "Pre-employment" then you were not employed when you took the test.

    If it was a DOT urine GC / MS then there should have been two samples taken. You can have the second sample tested at a different lab. If you decide to do that, then you'll have to pay for it and that can run in the neighborhood of $100 usually, but if you know you're clean then the backup sample can prove it.

    What will happen to me if I violate a DOT drug & alcohol rule (e.g. test positive, or refuse a test)?
    Your employer is required to immediately remove you from performing safety-sensitive functions. You will not be permitted to return to DOT regulated safety-sensitive functions until you have:

    • Undergone an evaluation by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Your employer must provide you with a list of SAPs that you can use;
    • Successfully completed any course, counseling or treatment prescribed by the SAP prior to returning to service;
    • Undergone a follow up evaluation by the same SAP to determine your compliance with their recommendations; AND
    • Provided a breath and/or urine specimen that tests negative for drugs and/or alcohol prior to returning to DOT regulated safety-sensitive functions.
    You will also be subject to unannounced "Follow-Up" testing for drugs and/or alcohol for at least 6 times during the first 12 months of active service with the possibility of unannounced testing for up to 60 months (as prescribed by the SAP). The Return-to-Duty and Follow-Up drug tests will be conducted under direct observation.

    I failed a drug test before I went to CDL school back around 2001. I was staying at a VA Dormacillary in Orlando. We all had to do random piss tests and breathalizer tests.
    One of my test showed ethanol in my system. Everybody freaked out at the test. The Director of program and all the people in control of test stated, "we know this test is a FALSE POSITIVE". Everyone knew I didn't drink and was drug free. In fact I hadn't left the Dorm for weekend passes, so they knew I was clean.
    Those drug and alcohol test are not always accurate. Sometimes various things will cause false results.

    one way to dispute a positive is getting a body hair follicle test, if youve done nothing to show positive this is better option cause it can show back as far as 6 months

    Did you have your cdl or cdl permit when you took the test? Where u in driving school or with a company sponsored school. You have some options depending on the situation.

    Did you have your cdl or cdl permit. The fact is it comes down to if it is reported on your DAC. If you did not have a CDL or CDL permit or were in truck driving school then the test does not qualify as a DOT drug screen. Also you can in fact retake the test at your own expense. It comes down to if it was reported. I did in fact assist a former employee of mine to get a failed test removed from his dac report
