To dodge a pan handler

if 9 out of 10 people i help use my money to buy booze or drugs that means i helped 1 human being eat a meal for a night. To me thats worth it.

 

My flag misunderstanding aside, you judge those you assume to know? the simple and unfortunate truth is, people lie. And for every one person who NEEDS a few bucks, there are 50 saying "well since you have your wallet out" when i was 17 a guy asked me for a dollar, i pulled out my wallet and before i could open it i was jumped and beaten by 6 guys for 18 bucks. Ya know what i learned? 1 dont keep cash in your wallet. I still dont to this day. And 2 ask me for money and you will be lucky if all you get is a mild #### you. Im glad you can afford to give money to every person that "says they need it. I dont even concider you nieve, give 90 percent of your money, but im using mine. I have and will always share food, or buy a burger for someone who is clearly in need of food. Note "clearly" its a ####y world and im not trying to get sainthood. It is NOT selfish to refuse to give money to a begger. This isint india. Its the gd USA yeah the plight of the mentaly ill sucks. But lets be honest, we are not talking about them. Judge me all you want, i have never feared a choice i have made. If and i mean IF there is a final judgement, im not worried about the time i said no to a begger.

It's pretty rare I'll give to someone begging for money. Normally I simply say no. It's funny how big a deal some make out of this.

That said, I don't make any assumptions about the person other than, for some reason, they are asking for help. Whether that's due to bad choices, bad luck or whatever other reason I have no way of knowing. I'm just thankful I'm not in their position.

 

So you can judge us, but we're not supposed to judge the people who are begging us for a handout? How's that double standard working out?

 

how much do you give a homeless person on an average if you don't mind me asking?

 

i dont have a set amount. Its determined after i sized the person up. If i think they are going tp get high i give em a buck. Otherwise up to 5 or more. Just depends

 

I really hope you don't break your arm, patting yourself on the back there gun. Also hope you don't expect us to believe anything you say...

 

If you drove around Chicago all day like I do, you would go broke if you gave to every begger you see.

 

where i live i get asked every 2-4 weeks

 

I dont give to every beggar i see. I give to whoever asks me personally. The people on offramps arent technically asking me and they are hustlers. I used to smoke weed with people like that
