Oh I thought u lived in chambersburg/harrisburg area but i think that was a dif post by someone else...Mom and pop trucking companies are much more flexible and might work with new new drivers with there cdl and train them for a month or 2 with one of there drivers..thats how I got my start actually and was so lucky...it wouldnt hurt to call and ask them personally if they will work with you even if it says 6 months min exp...they might say yes. Anyways good luck.

I'm going to call a few and take a shot with it. I have nothing to lose. If I could be away for a week or more I know I could find something down by Carlisle

Just in case anyone sees this about flex fleet. We are drivers that help out dedicated accounts. Walmart this week next week family dollar the next 2 weeks maybe a start up account. We move across the country. Where ever we are needed. We have a great dbl. You put in home time and he makes it happen. Alot of hand unloading or drop and hook just depends on the account. Hope it helps for future reference.

So does this mean you can run as hard as you want and go to a variety of different places or are you kept to a specific amount of time you are allowed to work?

Stay out as long as you want minimum 2 weeks. I did 4 months came home for thanksgiving for 10 days. Just went back out for 4 weeks and now taking 9 days. They basically keep you in your region but i have been to just about every state east of the mississippi.
