I had a dummy keyring with 2 keys on it I would give to shipper when they required truck keys. I took my real truck keys and left them in my pocket, no idle. Not sure why, but I don't like my keys leaving me.

For those that won't let anyone in THEIR truck.

Good luck getting on to a military base. I've even had one navy base walk through with the dog. I don't like dogs in my truck. Or any animal for that matter. Specially those that shed hair.

Dominon sugar in Baltimore. unhook truck-glad hand lock-pole inserted in the ground in front of truck-lock keys in a box in waiting area-driver must sit in waiting area. I was looking for the straight jackets thinking that was next

I have to do that quite often. At one shipper one of you drivers was in a hurry started to pull out of the dock while a loader was still on the deck. He had fall protection on with a retractable lanyard . The driver left him hanging in the air. Next thing you know we have to give up our keys. Some places they keep you out of the truck while loading or unloading.

If I were to be asked to deliver something somewhere that required a search, and that was not stipulated beforehand, then they could bend their rules, or they could come get their stuff at the gate. Or pay me to take it back to the shipper. I don't really care.

I delivered at a military base in MA with no issues at all. Opened every door, the dog did a walk around and I was on my way.

The shipper is also a military base. So you don't be taking the load. PERIOD.
