Since I have no idea when the last brake job was done, time to have a brake inspection replacement done.
Everything passes visual inspection but the truck has sat for 4 years.
Truck is converted to RV hauler status so this may be the last brake job it gets.
What's the latest cost?
Single rear axle-
Consider new brake chambers-
Drums, pads, and the unexpected?
Truck has a pull to the right on heavy braking (70-80psi applied)
What place would you have service performed- Name brand truck stop or the old shop with a line of trucks in front of the doors?
Brakes

If you tell us where you are located maybe someone could recommend a shop.

70-80 psi? What the? Maybe mine is broken or I don't know something but I don't even get close unless I'm locking them up and pedal is going close to the floor. Even sitting at a stop light there's maybe 20-30 psi. You realize how much air is going to dump when you release your foot off the brake?
Side note- I gotta take a real close look at my gauge tomorrow and see what psi I'm hitting.Last edited: Dec 27, 2015
Reason for edit: auto correct thinks it knows better. I need to proof read. -
Northern Alabama- Gadsden / Anniston area.
70-80 was wrong... If I apply 30-35psi it pulls to the right.
Have another thread I'm part of on a racing forum going.. guy has a triple turbo 8.1 that's lifting the heads at 70psi boost.... can't find head studs that will clamp enough and not stretch. -
Old time trucker's logic would say steer to the left.

did you check the adjustment? One side tighter than the other.
Chambers usually run around $30, brakes here are about $17 per shoe and drums are about $100 buy new spring kits as well
