Dear fellow O/O,
I've been driving over 5 years now and this last year started a business and leased on with a carrier but got burned with getting paid for loads delivered. Can anyone tell me where to go to get 100 percent no money down financing? I've got decent credit and been approved with Landstar to run for them but they don't have a leasing co. or resource to secure a truck. Thanks...a friendly driver. You can also email me at pdsohio1@aol.com

CK. over at F Liner. sel. truck sales they have very some small down payment plans if credit is good?
-
Dude if you do not have a down payment, how are you going to fix the truck. Yeah you can maybe turn the wrenches but parts cost money too.
Dominick253 and 59EX Thank this. -
Go to your local dealer and buy a new truck.
That way you might make it.Dominick253 Thanks this. -
Unless you have bought a lot of trucks before I don't see how any dealer can make it happen without a downpayment.
You have options if you're willing to make them happen, but a down payment is a must. -
Thanks guys for the tips. I'll follow up. Baha what does the CK stand for with Freightliner financing?
Thanks

Only advice i have is get a pre-emission truck. Depending on make 03 is about the last of the non egr, possibly early 04s if im not mistaken. If you don't run cali get something like a ddec3 60 series or a cummins 855/n14. I would go for an older cummins personally. 838 and 855s are easy to inframe if your decent with a wrench. If you can rebuild a small block v8 you should be able to do almost everything yourself.
My dad used to have a Cornbinder cab over with 315hp 838, not sure if it was a formula or BC. I know he had the fuel bumped up and a size bigger on the injectors, timing was messed with a little bit. 3.55/9sp direct he would walk over my uncles 425b model and 444. Granted, on the flats they would walk away. my dad averaged just over 7 loaded and 9 empty. our cascadia evo's with dt12 autos dont even get 7.
Early e7 macks are nearly indestructible also. My dad had early 90s e7 400, eventually sold it for an 03 460 and regretted it big time.
Within 2-3 yrs I'll be going down that road, as long as I can help it I will never run a dpf/scr/egr POS its all a scam to line the pockets of the top 0.5% -
Here is my advice for what it is worth. Go drive a company truck, save up some bucks for a good down payment, or buy one with cash. Why would you want to risk your credit in this crappy market. Don't believe what LS is saying their BCO's are going down left and right just like everybody else right now. Look at all the used trucks on Auction Time, there are more and more of them going up each week. If guys that have been doing this for years are failing what makes you think that with only 5 years experience you will fare any better? Have you ever ran another business before? Not trying to be a pessimist, just being a realist. You can make it if you want to do without, more than having right now.
Dominick253, rexmanno and double yellow Thank this.
