As far as I know, yes they still drift on ssb. Some say they "are'nt so bad" after they warm up..but...
If gou use ssb, a galaxy wouldnt be my first choice jmo. But they're big n loud am radios for sure.
Of the newer 10m radios that perform well on am, and ssb, id look at the stryker 955 or the ranger 2950/2970 line. The magnum 257/357's do good also im told. Being microprocessor controlled, instead of using a pll circuit, seems to be the key to ssb stability on 10m exports.

Galaxy 48T is AM only radio and they don't make them anymore as far as i know.

And galaxy is not your best bet for SSB use.

    Good luck

Thanks I Already own a 2010 ranger rci 2950 dx' I like the 100 watt output on that specific model but only 30 watts on Am I'm also looking at the Stryker it's higher in price but only gives 70 watts output on SSB .

Why not put a good class ab box behind the 2950?

Thats a bucket list radio for me. Hard to find one thats not been hacked, or they dont want a mint for..
