    Wait... what?

If you use a condom to stay dry, you're doing it wrong.

Haha, my dog started growling at this picture (I think he cleans toilets at the pilot).

I've had the same experience. Use an umbrella in the rain at a truck stop, or take a 45 minute walk at a truck stop and people look at you like your an idiot.

I don't carry an umbrella but always have a full rain suit in the truck. Usually as soon as I put it on it quits raining. But it comes in real handy when it does pour down.

    NavigatorWife and OOwannaBE Thank this.

Umbrellas are like make-up & ear rings.... they are for ladies.

Working flatbed when the rain is sideways means an umbrella is an invitation to experience the thrill of extreme sports in a hurry, not to mention you need both hands to work.

I dedicate the passenger seat as my "mud room". My wet rain gear, muddy rubber boots and gloves all have places to hang or drip dry without getting it all over my work and living area. I keep a couple of bath and hand towels handy for drying off and change to dry clothes if necessary. I enter and exit from the passenger side as much as possible, which is essential when I step out into muddy goo halfway up my knee high boots. I keep a tray for the boots and to catch dripping from the gear.

I keep a raincoat hung up next to my jacket. It depends on the weather on which on I reach for. Never seen anyone use an umbrella while trucking.

Swift flatbedders get these at orientation. They're standard issue along with beanie propeller hats.
