Not much in Kansas but you'll run several states every week. You'll go to SD, NE, IL, MI, kKY, TN, MO, AR, OK, TX. (Not all in the same week) If you stay out 2 weeks you could end up anywhere. You will haul steel, lumber, wallboard, hay, shingles, transformers, pipe, you name it. As far as tips go, just do it right. Nobody likes to end up on Twisted Truckers. And don't be in too big a hurry to go O/O. Statistically company drivers net more than O/Os after all of the expenses. I'm sure inexperience plays a big part in keeping the numbers the way they are.
I agree with Adjust fire. TMC is a good starter co. And I have meet drivers that have been there for many years. I myself being 4. They are a good company and I have done well. But they are not there to hold your hand. I didn't know they had a "CDL" program unless you are referring to orientation. You will get more then coil securement training. Good luck, and be safe!
Do you happen be a trainer? Also I found out a TMC driver parks down the road from me. Hoping I can park my truck next to his when I get it haha. I head to IA on the 1st
Will they care if i park the truck and trailer at my house. I have 85 acres and plenty of room and turn around for the truck just didnt know if they would care. I head to tmc 2 days
When I asked about it they said as long as it is safe and secure. If something happens to it (let's say someone shoots a window out) then you pay for it
fill the form out on orientation , any damage or towing is on you. They just need an address of where itll be. No bobtailing unless authorized
