Did you even bother to read their posts? If you need something to do I'm sure we could give you plenty of suggestions.

I gave up my apartment expecting to be home 4-6 days a month. When that changed I got another apartment.

4 days home a month when you're single or even without kids makes no sense to pay rent somewhere. Just get a hotel.

I wasn't broke and I wasn't without other options but I'll speak up for those that might be in that situation by saying driving a truck and producing a more valuable contribution to society is far more honorable than accepting defeat and waiting in line for Obama's paycheck and I have respect for those who have had to go that route.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have never pulled a van.

You're trying to figure the best way to get your own truck or how to make money with your own truck
Not a bad plan. There's no secret to buying a truck. The goal is to be successful. Doesn't matter where you go and what kind of trailer you pull, the thing that's going to help you is providing superior service to your customers. That's why I told you what I did.

Notice all the resistance you seem to be getting? There are a bunch of people in this business who hate what they do. I need you to stay positive. Before you start thinking about buying a truck, I'd like for you to be 100% certain that it's what you want to do. Okay?

@passingthru69 gave you good advice. It may not have been what you wanted to hear, but he's an owner operator, and an excellent driver. Read his post carefully.

Get enrolled in school. Find you a gig where the guys on the top easily make the money you want to make. Do it for a year. Stack your money. THEN, come back and talk to me. We can and will help you, not in this forum, but the Owner Operator Forum.
    Luck in battle.

I love all those that "can't" be homeless or "can't" live in their car, "can't" be without a house or apartment. I find it kinda funny when all they have in their life is negativity.

On my dad's side of the family they survived WWII in Europe and believe me, that was not easy for them to survive being on the wrong side of the war.

On my mom's side, my great grandmother crossed the country in 1900 in a covered wagon at the ripe old age of 3 years old. If she could do that then I have no reason to complain with all the luxuries we have today.

I think that all these whiners have never had to do without or they think they are owed something from society.

What the OP is getting with the negativity is the envy and jealousy of those that can't so they become trainers... LOL Those that can do and those that can't teach!

TBH, I spent every night of the first two months or so of my trucking career sleeping in the back of my pickup truck while I was being trained doing local work. It wasn't a big deal at all.

@bigounce, this is what I mean when I say that you have to be tough. Set a goal, do whatever you have to do to reach your goal.
